Juventus offering to end Darwin Nunez Al Hilal’s nightmare

Juventus are looking at bringing Darwin Nunez back into European football just one season after he left for a new adventure in the Middle East.

Darwin Nunez left Liverpool to join Al Hilal last season but things has not gone according to plan. The Uruguayan international was unregistered by Al Hilal last month following the arrival of Karim Benzema.

This has meant that Nunez has been unable to participate in Saudi Pro League fixtures since early February, and has been limited to just two outings in the AFC Champions League, which operates under different registration regulations to the Saudi Arabian top tier.

Juventus are now willing to offer him a way out. According to Sky Sport, the Bianconeri have made an enquiry about the talented striker.

Juve have made an initial enquiry to the Saudi club, before deciding whether to pursue the matter further or move on to other targets. The Bianconeri had already considered the Uruguayan striker last summer, who had also been on Napoli’s radar before they signed Lucca.

Aside Nunez, Juventus are also looking in the direction of Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva.

The Portuguese international’s contract with Manchester City is due to expire, and the club has already informed him that his renewal is not part of their future plans.

Juventus are considering making a move for the Portuguese, but could be discouraged by his wages. Saudi Pro League and MLS are currently interested in Silva and are ready to offer him a salary even higher than what he earns in England.
