Juventus to Hold Talks Over Ex-Barcelona Star Free Transfer
Juventus are active in the summer transfer window having struggled to make an impression domestically and in Europe last season.
The Seria A side are looking at strengthening their midfield and have identified former Barcelona and AC Milan star Franck Kessie as a perfect addition.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus executives will meet with Kessié’s agent later this week to discuss a possible free transfer for the Ivory Coast international.
The Turin-based paper claims that Kessie has rejected an offer to extend his contract with Al-Ahli. His current deal runs out at the end of this month.
Kessie reportedly turned down a €12m-a-year salary for the next two seasons.

The 29-year-old has already confirmed publicly that he’s ready to return to Serie A. But, it’s still unclear if he’ll reach an agreement with Juventus or seek other alternative.
Unlike the hefty salary he receives in Saudi, Kessie cut his salary to make the move back to Seria A possible.
Juventus already held talks with Kessié’s entourage in the January window, but Al-Ahli would not let the Ivorian midfielder leave.
With days left for the expiration of his contract in Al-Ahli, Juventus new director Giovanni Carnevali will meet with Kessie’s agent and hope things work out.
Kessié’s agent is expected to hold talks with other Serie A clubs as well.
