Liverpool told how to handle Mohamed Salah’s future as contract ticks down

Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool has continue to make headlines as the Egypt international enters the final 10 months of his Reds deal.

Liverpool rejected a staggering £150million offer from Saudi Pro-League side Al-Ittihad at the end of the last summer transfer window but Salah has continue to be linked with a summer exit away from Anfield this summer.

The Premier League side will lose Salah for free if he fails to sign a new deal. He will also be free to speak to foreign clubs from January 1. However, Chris Sutton claims Slot should not be tempted to sell Salah now – even if he could use the money to fund some buys.

Sutton who played for the likes of  Blackburn and Chelsea as a striker says Salah is much too important to Liverpool, even though he turned 32 in June, to consider letting him go.

According to him, Slot badly needs Salah to make an impression in his first season succeeding Jurgen Klopp.

Sutton told Best Online Poker Sites: “If you’re Arne Slot, you want to do as well as possible. You need to keep hold of Mohamed Salah because he’s your best player. You don’t need to worry about filling your coffers.

“You need to concern yourself with winning games and trying to make a real impact as a manager in the first season. “The shoes that Slot is trying to fill, Jurgen Klopp’s shoes, are massive are nigh on impossible to fill. He has to keep hold of Salah to have a chance of succeeding.”

Salah has scored 211 goals and contributed 89 assists in his 349 games for Liverpool. He scores in all the games that matter for Liverpool and he has netted 155 times and added 68 assists in 250 Premier League appearances.

The former Chelsea star has 41 goals and 14 assists in 64 Champions League appearances for the Reds.
