Man City eye Premier League £40m star as Kyle Walker replacement

Manchester City are reportedly looking at signing a new player to replace Kyle Walker at the club despite the England international leaving on a loan deal in January.
Walker left Manchester City in January to join AC Milan on a six month loan deal. The England international fulfilled his personal dream of playing abroad, having suffered an alarming drop in form in the first half of the season.
Despite having a year left on his City contract, Walker is expected to move on permanently in summer.
Pep Guardiola is now prepared to bring in a new replacement. Home-grown youngster Rico Lewis has replaced Walker since his departure with Matheus Nunes also experimented in that role.

However, latest report from The Daily Telegraph claim that Newcastle United talent Tino Livramento is being “monitored”. The former Chelsea academy graduate, who previously played for Southampton in the Premier League, has kicked on since joining Newcastle and even made his senior England debut in 2024.
22-year-old Livramento is under contract at St James’ Park until 2028, while his 2023 switch to Newcastle was valued at £40m – including add-ons, a figure that means he won’t come at a cheap price.
Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso, who can play on either side, is also heavily linked with City. Though City reportedly offer Juventus £54.7m during the January transfer window, a deal was not agreed and Juve coach Thiago Motta later suggested it wasn’t the player’s intention to leave.
