Mohamed Salah sets new Champions League record against Bologna

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah sets a new UEFA Champions League record on Wednesday night as Liverpool defeated Bologna at Anfield 2-0.
Salah fired home a laser goal in the 75th minute to complete the scoring on Merseyside, and the goal means more than just three points. The goal saw Salah achieve a new feat.
It was Salah’s 49th career Champions League goal and this has seen him become the top African goal scorer in UEFA Champions League history, more than Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba, Cameroon hero Samuel Eto’o, and Senegalese sensation Sadio Mane.
Salah was not the only player who made history on the night. Premier League side Aston Villa also wrote the start of a new chapter in their glorious history.
In their first Champions League home game for 41 years, Aston Villa defeated six-time European champions, Bayern Munich.
Super sub Jhon Duran was the match-winning hero as his wonder goal defeated the mighty Bundesliga side.
The victory leaves Emery’s side with a perfect two wins from two Champions League matches and a huge statement of intent about their ambition at Europe’s top table.
