Neal Maupay trolls United star after controversial FA Cup semi-final antics
Brentford forward, Neal Maupay has become the latest person to troll United forward Antony over his behavior during Manchester United’s FA Cup victory over Coventry City.
United reached the FA Cup final for a second consecutive year but did so in embarrassing fashion.
The Red Devils won on penalties after blowing a three goal lead. However, Antony took center attractions when he celebrated by running in front of the Coventry players.
Antony also cupped his ears to Coventry players and their fans after Rasmus Hojlund’s winning spot-kick.
Brentford striker Maupay has now waded into the discourse, having garnered a reputation for being the Premier League’s chief s***house.
On Tuesday, the Frenchman retweeted a video of Antony’s celebrations, with the captain: ‘Just for the record, not even I would do this,’ accompanied by a crying face emoji.
Maupay’s reaction came just hours after Antony reacted to critics on social media. The Brazilian international posted on Twitter: ‘Coventry proved why they reached the semi-final. We seeked this spot in the final for our fans and we achieved.
‘The way our fans were treated by their player was not nice and I, in the heat of the moment, reacted to the provocations in a natural defence of my club!’
