Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has shared an update about his future as the former France international continues the hunt for a new club.
Pogba is set to return to active football following the reduction of his doping ban. The former United midfielder was given a four-year ban after failing multiple doping tests. However, this sentence was reduced some months ago and Pogba is expected to be back in 2025.
The 31-year-old is now preparing for a new stage in his career and recent Instagram post by Pogba himself contained a series of cryptic emojis that potentially hinted that his footballing future has been decided.
After Pogba appealed the original ban, he successfully got it reduced to 18 months after a ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Their official statement read: “Mr Pogba’s ingestion of DHEA, the substance for which he tested positive, was not intentional and was the result of erroneously taking a supplement prescribed to him by a medical doctor in Florida.” As a result, the term was reduced and he’ll be cleared to play again in March 2025; however, it’s unclear which clubs are interested in signing him.
Pogba has since been linked with various clubs including a return to Manchester United. The Frenchman is reportedly looking at staying in Europe or start a new era in the Saudi Pro League or the Major League Soccer.
