Here are our Premier League predictions for gameweek 9 as defending Champion Liverpool aims to bounce back from last week’s defeat.

While there will be a new face on the sidelines for Nottingham Forest this week following the appointment of Sean Dyche, some managers are looking at keeping their job.

Arsenal currently lead the table following their hard-fought victory over Fulham while Liverpool were humbled by a determined Manchester United’s side.

The drama continues this week and here are 90kicks’ predictions for the upcoming round of games.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s adventure at West Ham United is not going according to plan as the former Nottingham Forest manager awaits his first win.

Following another disappointing loss to Brentford last time out, West Ham will be eager to kickstart a new era against Leed United.

A tough nut to crack, Leeds have had an encouraging start to the season on their Premier League return and their form has been particularly strong at Elland Road.

With five of their eight points on home soil, West Ham might have to choose another match for their resurgence.

Chelsea have proved they can perform at their best without the phenomenal Cole Palmer. After their early season wobble, Enzo Maresca’s team have enjoyed huge success in recent matches.

Victory in their last four games in all competitions – including an emphatic 5-1 victory over Ajax in the Champions League– Sunderland might leave Stamford Bridge empty handed.

Currently level on point with Chelsea, Sunderland will be overpowered by the London club squad depth and quality.

Prediction: Chelsea 3–0 Sunderland

Newcastle United vs. Fulham

A victory over Jose Mourinho’s Benfica during the week proves Newcastle are getting back to their best after their early struggle.

Following their defeat Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend, Newcastle will be eager to bounce back in front of their home fans.

Fulham have not been impressive in the past few weeks, with three defeats on the spin, Marco Silva’s side are currently 15th in the table, a place below Newcastle in the standings.

Newcastle might have played during the week, but Fulham will possess less threat and it’s a win for Eddie Howe’s side.

A tricky tie awaits Manchester United just days after defeating Liverpool to record their first back-to-back Premier League wins under Ruben Amorim.

Brighton will travelling to Old Trafford full of confidence after their victory over Newcastle United last time out. The Seagulls have also won six of their last seven league games against Man Utd.

United might be motivated with the recent victory over Liverpool, but a game against Brighton remains a tough test.

Prediction: Man Utd 2–2 Brighton

‘Sign of relief’, Liverpool failed to record their fifth consecutive loss in all competition as Arne Slots’ team trashed Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 in the Champions League.

Victory over the Bundesliga side will lighten up the mood at Anfield and boost the players confidence ahead of a tricky tie against Brentford.

Liverpool will be faced by a host of former employees in west London, with Jordan Henderson, Caomhín Kelleher, Sepp van den Berg and Fábio Carvalho all looking to upset their old side at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Prediction: Brentford 1–3 Liverpool

Bournemouth vs. Nottingham Forest

Sean Dyche’s era as Nottingham Forest manager in the Premier League will begin on Sunday when they travel to Bournemouth

The ex-Burnley and Everton manager has taken charge of the Midlands side and is tasked with stopping the rot. Having failed to record victory since their opening match of the season, Nottingham will be looking to get at least a point away from home.

However, Bournemouth are flying high under Andoni Iraola. Currently third on the table having accumulated more points than Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Man Utd this term, the Cherries will have no issue spoiling Dyche’s Premier League return.

Premier League predictions for gameweek 9 will favour Arsenal due to their current form.

Arsenal are back on top of the summit and will look to keep their place.

Mikel Arteta’s side are looking stronger every match and their midweek victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League proves they are in for the game.

Currently boosting the best defensive record, Arsenal will lock horns with a Crystal Palace side that have beaten Liverpool and taken points away at Chelsea this term.

Eberechi Eze will face his former teammates for the first time and might have the last laugh.

Prediction: Arsenal 2–1 Crystal Palace

Manchester City are flying high with the help of Erling Haaland. With 15 goals in 11 matches for the Cityzens this term, Aston Villa have a tough task of keeping the Norway star silent.

Aston Villa have put aside their rocky start to the season, an impressive victory at Tottenham last weekend means they have now won their last three league matches.

However, City might be too hot to handle and a draw is their best result.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Burnley

Wolves are currently in trouble and needs to find their feet until it’s too late.

Yet to win in the Premier League this term, Vítor Pereira’s men have lost six and drawn two of their eight outings and are currently glued to the foot of the table.

However, a home tie with Burnley is a very winnable fixture for the Old Gold. Win the game and get your season back on track.

Meanwhile, Burnley will put up a good fight.

Prediction: Wolves 1–0 Burnley

Premier League Predictions: Everton vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Both teams are looking for a positive result and with Jack Grealish back in the Everton squad, David Moyes will be banking on the Man City loanee.

One win in their last five games proves Tottenham Hotspur are yet to find their rhythm under Thomas Frank and this might be exploited on Sunday.

Prediction: Everton 1–3 Tottenham

Premier League predictions for gameweek 9 have been highlighted above.

Gameweek 9 promises to bring exciting matches and it’s left to see if Arsenal will maintain their place at the top and Wolves secure their first win.
