PSG interested in €60m-rated Newcastle star

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly determined to beat Juventus to the transfer of Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali.

Tonali has played at the highest level since he joined Newcastle from AC Milan and the Italy international could be set for a new adventure elsewhere.

According to Tutto Juve, there is growing interest in Tonali from Europe’s elite, with Juventus said to be in pole position to get a deal done, though PSG also seem very keen to try as well.

PSG are looking to continue their dominance in Europe by bringing new talents to strengthen their team while Juventus are eager to retain their dominance in Seria A.

As per Transfermarkt, Tonali’s market valuation is around €60m, but given that his contract expires in 2028, there’s little pressure on Newcastle to accept anything like that, so his price tag would likely be quite a lot higher.

While Newcastle might not be willing to let go of the 25-year-old midfielder, things might get dramatic if the right offer comes in. The Premier League side weren’t able to keep hold of Alexander Isak this summer when Liverpool came calling, and it could be difficult for them to stop Tonali sealing a big move as well.

Tonali has not shown any signs he wants to leave but he might be tempted to make a move if European giants like PSG comes calling.
