Rasmus Hojlund beats Man United goal tally in 20 fewer games
Rasmus Hojlund has continued his brilliant form for Seria A side Napoli, showing Manchester United fans what they are missing this season.
Currently on a season-long loan at Napoli, Hojlund scored both goals as his side secured a 2-0 away win over Cremonese on Sunday.
The Danish international match-winning double takes his league tally for the season to six in 12 appearances for Napoli.
With his brace against Cremonese, Hojlund has surpassed his league goal record for United last term in 20 fewer matches.
Hojlund scored just four times in 32 Premier League outings for the Red Devils last season. Meanwhile, his debut campaign at United after signing from Atalanta saw him score just ten league goals.
The latest strikes from Hojlund have made him Napoli’s top scorer in both the league and overall this season.
Meanwhile, only Christian Pulisic and Lautaro Martinez have surpassed his six Serie A strikes this season.
Hojlund joined Napoli on deadline day to end his Old Trafford nightmare. The Seria A giant have an obligation to sign him permanently if they qualify for the Champions League.
The 22-year-old forward won his first trophy since returning to Italy in the summer when Napoli clinched the Italian Super Cup on Monday by beating Bologna in Saudi Arabia.
David Neres scored both goals in a 2-0 win as they lifted the trophy for the third time in their history.
