Atalanta right-back Marco Palestra admits that the ‘attention is nice’ as he continues to be linked with Liverpool.
Palestra, 20, is currently on loan at Cagliari after reportedly being the subject of a £17.5million bid from Liverpool in the summer.
The youngster has continued his impressive performance this season and has established himself as one of the finest players in his position in Serie A.

“The attention is nice, I’m just focused on doing well in the rossoble jersey,” the Italy under-21 international said. “We need to improve, even if we always play with an open face.
“I’m improving defensively, but also in counterattacking. I have to thank the coach for pushing me.”
Aside Liverpool, Seria A giant Juventus have also monitored Palestra closely and believe that his performances demonstrate he can succeed at the club.
Juventus are looking at bringing him in but will face a stiff competition from Liverpool.
Although the purpose of his loan to Cagliari was to aid his development and prepare him for a future role at Atalanta, the Italian side might be forced to make a huge decision during the transfer window.
