Barcelona identify Swedish ace as Lewandowski’s replacement next summer

Barcelona are prepared to spend heavily in the summer transfer window after failing to bring in any new player during the January transfer window.

The Catalonia giant have placed their trust in the youths from La MasiaMasia while some players from the set up were allowed to leave. However, things will be different come summer.

Latest report have claimed the Blaugrana are gearing up for a busy summer, with one of their top priorities being the acquisition of a new striker. Barcelona are indeed desperate to sign a new forward who can emerge as a long-term replacement for the ageing Robert Lewandowski.

Identified as a perfect replacement for the Polish striker is Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak.

According to El Chiringuito, Isak has emerged as Barcelona’s top target for the summer of 2025.

Barcelona have indicated that they are willing to go big for a new striker next summer. Isak, to that end, fits the bill perfectly due to his solid track record. Isak has been scoring for fun at Newcastle and Barca believes he has what it takes to play at Camp Nou.

Isak has racked up an impressive 54 goals in less than 100 competitive matches. He joined Newcastle United in 2022 and has grown to become one of the most feared forwards.

Additionally, Isak will have no problem adapting to the style of play in Spain. Isak has a stellar track record of scoring in La Liga, having scored 44 goals during his spell at Real Sociedad.

The Swedish international has also been linked with Arsenal and it’s left to see if Barcelona will go all out to sign the star forward.
