Chelsea, Man Utd ruled out of Alexander Isak transfer race

FIFA Club World Cup Champion Chelsea alongside their Premier League rival Manchester United have reportedly ruled themselves out of the transfer race for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
Currently in his prime, Isak has informed those at St James’ Park of his desire to move on in a summer window dominated by speculation regarding his future.
The 25-year-old has been linked with teams in Europe and the Saudi Pro League. However, the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United will not be submitting any bid with only Liverpool expected to launch a British record bid.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea and Manchester United have no intention of making moves for Isak.
Chelsea have brought in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer, while Manchester United do not have the funds or European football required in order to lure Isak to Old Trafford.
Rather than table a bid for Isak, United are exploring other options, such as Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.
Liverpool looks like the only destination for Isak. The Premier League champions are preparing to test the water with an official approach and it’s left to see if they’ll meet Newcastle United valuation of more than £120 million ($162m).
